Have you ever thought about the billions of people who live on this planet with you? Think about how incredible this is. There are so many people here with us, today, who all have very different innate qualities whom our Father in Heaven gave each of us for a special purpose to fulfill here on this earth.
How crazy is that to think about?
If you don't think it is that crazy, think then about the hundreds of people we each come in contact with each day. Think about if you stopped and talked to every single person who you past.
How incredibly blessed would you be?
I now understand the importance of reaching out to others.
We have all been sent here for a purpose. To do something, give something, to others that they need at a certain point in their life. Not only to share with others what we have, but to also recieve the blessings and talents that other people possess.
We aren't here to focus on ourselves, but rather to take in every corner of the earth and it's diversities that they bring into our lifes. I've realized that just because you want something so bad, and are so focused on one thing... well, it doesn't mean you have to block everyone else out around you who have something, or masses of things, to bring into your life and bless you.
We can learn so much from the people around us. First judgements are NEVER correct.
We need to take the time to give of ourselves, reach out and share what we have in our hearts, and then turn around and listen to those around us.
I'm not just talking about religion, or what you believe in that way.
I'm talking about us uniting as the human race.
I've never been the "Social Butterfly"
I'm actually quite shy.
I never understood how blessed my life would be if I just reached out to others and got to know different people.
This is why I am writing this.
People are our greatest resource.
Talking, getting to know other people, being kind, trying to UNDERSTAND other people's heartache.
It gives us experience and gives us the opportunity to have a fuller more purposeful life.
They say that "this generation" is getting worse and worse when it comes to conversation and really connecting with other people.
I DO NOT doubt it.
We have become so caught up in ourselves that we don't know how to be empathetic, or sympathetic with others.
This week try it.
Try reaching out to someone in one of your classes, or someone sitting at a table alone, or someone who you pass. It doesn't matter if they look lonely or not. Just do it. You will find your life being blessed in more than one way.
As will I.
Witney I love you and your posts. You always make me want to better myself. I'm definitely going to try this out. Love you, girl.
